Section titled “Editor panel”The Editor panel transforms your dictation into a structured legal document using a local LLM.
Select a template
Section titled “Select a template”In the left column, choose the document type:

Fill in the fields
Section titled “Fill in the fields”Each template has specific fields (recipient, subject, tone, etc.). Only fill in the relevant fields — optional fields can be left blank.
Reformulate
Section titled “Reformulate”Click Reformulate — Scribe Local generates the document in 10-30 seconds depending on your hardware. The result appears in the main area.
Edit the document
Section titled “Edit the document”The generated text is fully editable. Correct, adjust, and supplement according to your drafting style.
Export
Section titled “Export”- DOCX (Word): export to a .docx file compatible with Microsoft Word and LibreOffice
- PDF: PDF export — adjust page layout in your usual PDF viewer
Custom templates
Section titled “Custom templates”Save your own templates (firm standard phrases, letterhead) in My templates. A custom template consists of:
- A name (e.g. “Letter — Smith & Co”)
- A structure with variables (recipient, subject, etc.)
- A prompt describing the desired writing style
