Scribe Local adapts automatically: with 8 GB RAM, the lightest models (Whisper tiny, LLM Q4) are selected. Quality is reduced but the app works.

First launch

1. Open the downloaded file and install the application
2. On first launch, AI models are downloaded automatically (~2-6 GB depending on your hardware) — one-time operation, internet connection required
3. Once models are installed, the app runs fully offline

Privacy check

Unplug your network cable (or enable airplane mode) after first launch — all features continue to work. That’s the proof that nothing transits through our servers.

macOS — Gatekeeper

On first launch on macOS: right-click → Open (Gatekeeper asks for confirmation the first time for apps downloaded outside the App Store). The installer is signed with an Apple Developer certificate.

Windows — SmartScreen

Windows SmartScreen may display a warning. Click More info → Run anyway. The installer is signed with an EV certificate.

Free access ends on September 30, 2026. To continue using Scribe Local, purchase a licence from the pricing page. Activation takes 30 seconds from within the app.
